Chef Shawn Greenfeld

Chef Shawn didn’t always dream of being a chef, he was actually quite a picky eater growing up. He got his start in the culinary world at 18yrs old, and after a handful of mentors helped him navigate his way through the industry, he can no longer imagine himself doing anything else.

We were lucky enough to meet Chef Shawn by chance while in our early stages of business development and he became our first hire, took care of our first clients and became an indispensable part of our team.

What do you enjoy most about working with in-home clients?
I truly enjoy the relationships that are forged with my in-home clients.
I find that cooking for people who I get to know makes the experience even better.

What music is on your playlist while you’re cooking?
I love jazz standards but often find myself listening to very avant-garde jazz.
I find it very inspiring and promotes creativity in cooking. It is also very lively and I tend to feel the music through my cooking.

What’s your favorite meal to cook and why?
My favorite meal to cook would have to be a big pot of soup. There are so many
directions you can go with soups and create lots of depths of flavors. I feel a good bowl of soup is true comfort food.

What other interests and hobbies do you have outside of the kitchen?
Outside of the kitchen, I spend most of my time outdoors. I like to live a very active
lifestyle. I try and go camping as much as possible. Travel whenever I have a chance.
I also love to sit down and a read a book and get some quiet relaxation time.
